Carolyn Mary Kleefeld is an artist, poet and writer who has lived and worked in Big Sur since 1981. Drawing upon her background in art and psychology, she produces work that celebrates the human spirit as well as the magnificent bounty of the natural world. Her gentle, joyous art draws upon diverse currents ranging from action painting to surrealist fantasy. It explores myths, archetypes and the wonderful capacity of the human spirit to dream and to imagine.
